InvestCore’s platform is firmly centered on the core values of integrity, accountability, diligence, an unrivaled passion for real estate and the individuals behind it. The firm’s partners have spent more than 20 years cultivating relationships with developers, executing valuations and successfully closing sales.
It is this reputation for greatness that has allowed Ed Colson Jr., CCIM and Michael Campbell, CCIM to form strong ties with some of the country’s top private investors. These individuals know the team behind InvestCore can produce worthwhile results.
Ed Colson Jr., CCIM, Co-Founder and Principal
Ed Colson Jr., CCIM has been handling the diverse needs of net lease developers and investors since 2003. Prior to co-founding InvestCore, Colson spent the past five years as a net lease investment specialist with DTZ (now Cushman Wakefield) where he focused on 1031 Exchanges and sale-leasebacks, in addition to traditional single- and multi-tenant net lease investments. Colson’s strong work ethic resulted in successful portfolio dispositions for countless franchisees, who were then able to use these funds to not only tackle current debts, but finance future locations and existing franchise needs.
Colson has worked on acquisitions and dispositions for some of the largest, most creditworthy retail tenants in the industry, including Bank of America, 7-Eleven, Jack in the Box and AutoZone. He began his career at Single Net Properties after graduating with a Bachelor of Accountancy with a secondary focus on finance and real estate from the University of San Diego.
Colson is a second-generation real estate professional who is a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager) designee and a member of ICSC (the International Council of Shopping Centers). He holds real estate brokerage licenses in California and Texas.
In his spare time, Colson competes in triathlons and sponsors a child in Kenya through Youth With a Mission.
Michael Campbell, CCIM, Co-Founder and Principal
Michael Campbell, CCIM has been working with developers, REITs and private owners since 2008. Campbell gets involved early on as they move from site evaluation to acquisition negotiations, lease agreements and, ultimately, successful asset disposition. Campbell also works directly with corporations, franchisors/franchisees, family offices and charitable trusts to identify, negotiate and secure real estate investments in a timely manner.
Campbell began his career at DTZ where he quickly garnered respect from clients due to his vast expertise managing approximately 100 complex personal trusts for Wells Fargo’s Private Client Services Group. The trusts Campbell oversaw included investments and real estate properties valued in excess of $100 million. Campbell also spent much of his career working with special servicers, during which time he was able to swiftly assist in the evaluation, re-tenanting and, ultimately, disposition of distressed assets.
With an active real estate brokerage license in California, Campbell has worked with powerhouse tenants and companies, including Walgreens, Chipotle, McDonald’s and Wells Fargo.
A sixth-generation Texan, Campbell obtained his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. He is a CCIM designee, board member of the San Diego CCIM Chapter and a member of ICSC.
Campbell is an active participant in his alumni association, enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife, Emilie, their twins, and labrador retriever. Campbell also volunteers with the Coastal Conservation Association.
Eddie and Michael look forward to discussing your needs and demonstrating how InvestCore can help you achieve your real estate investment goals.
